PhoeniX Project, multimedia (2022)

About the Project

This project (third place prize winner at the LSU Graduate Research Conference) is a proof of concept of what could be done by using a full-scale LED wall, Unreal Engine , and OSC.

A story about the brightest light and the deepest darkness is told through three environments displayed on the screen. These environments are affected by the live, semi-improvised music and dance, that are in constant interaction not just with the graphics being displayed, but also with each other. For more detailed information about this project, please refer to the website of our team lead, Ka Hei Cheng .

This was one of the most fun and intensive projects I have worked on since I started my studies at LSU. I wrote the graphic score that established the narrative's timeline for the graphics, music, and dance, besides working on Pure Data so I could move between environments with my Bluetooth pedal, and capture sounds to be sent to Unreal Engine.
